Selkirk College engaged Perceptible to completely remap their Information Architecture and redesign their user experience by synthesizing subdomains across campuses and building one new Drupal site to represent the entire school. Perceptible interfaced with Communications and IT teams in addition to interviewing key stakeholders in order to come up with the most intuitive solution for their target demographic.
Our design, development and digital marketing teams were involved in this project from the initial research phase. First and foremost, an extensive remapping of the College’s IA was completed to unify dozens of subdomains and piecemeal web pages that were developed by separate departments over time. A complete UI and UX redesign then took place, based on target market research and stakeholder review. Perceptible’s digital strategists began concurrently developing a detailed social media strategy based on this same research. After wire framing and approvals, Perceptible enacted a new Drupal 7 build and major data migration while delivering technical documentation.
A contemporary new site that portrays Selkirk’s unique brand alongside instances on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube. Perceptible’s solution uses a mega-menu structure to guide a new student centric design that simplifies navigation with our “Two-clicks-to-anywhere” approach. After a successful summer launch, Perceptible was retained to provide technical and social media support for their internal team.
