Here at Perceptible, we have come to realize that the word “ecosystem” is often used in the digital space without much context or depth. It has become a “buzz word” in the broader industry. It sounds great but few really understand how powerful it is.
Understanding and winning in the digital world means grasping the critical role that ecosystems play. Building a sustainable and agile strategy relies on addressing the technical needs of the customers, users, audiences etc. and beyond. At Perceptible we take a very methodological approach in building ecosystems and know particularly well how such an approach can fit, elevate, build and add value.
The concept of an ecosystem concept was originally defined by ecologist Arthur Tansley in an article: “The whole system ,… including not only the organism-complex, but also the whole complex of physical factors forming what we call the environment.”
Ecosystem consists of two words. The first portion is Ecology. This deals with the relations of organisms to one another and their physical space. System is the second portion of the word and is defined as a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network. In a rich and high-functioning ecosystem, organisms are consistently interacting with one another including their surroundings while reacting to external and internal factors as a unit.
With that understanding, at Perceptible, we define tech ecosystems as an interconnected and interdependent network of diverse entities coming together to spur innovation, dramatically improve user experience, enable the attainment of performance and marketing goals pertaining to products and services in sustainable manner.

Application development is the process of creating a set of programs to perform the different tasks that a business requires. Usually, applications help businesses automate processes and increase efficiency. The process usually requires the following: gathering requirements, designing prototypes, testing, implementation, integration, bug fixes etc.
One of the most valuable assets a business or brand can have is a website that drives results.
Web development broadly refers to the tasks associated with building websites for the digital world. The web development process includes web design, web content development, client-side/server-side scripting and network security configuration, among other tasks.
Among professionals, "web development" usually refers to the main non-design aspects of building websites: writing markup and coding. “Web design” meanwhile refers to the aesthetic and visual look of websites.
Deep focus on customer and user experience is a must in today’s digital world.
User experience (UX) design is the process design teams use to create products or experiences that are meaningful and relevant. If done right, it removes a lot of friction that a user can experience and at times can provide delight. UX design involves the entire process of branding, design, usability and function. You can layer in personalized or custom experiences, modified experiences for acquisition and retention, or buy-focus vs information emphasis.
Design should be highly usable, efficient, intuitive and effortless.
User interface (UI) design is the practice of building interfaces in software, digital or mobile devices with a focus on looks or style. The aim is to create designs users will find easy to use, non-confusing, concise and at time pleasurable. User interfaces are the access points where users interact with designs, product and brand.
